We are partnering with a well-established organization in the automotive marketing space to find an experienced Engineering Manager to join them at a key moment of transformation. Their platforms power high-intent buying journeys, processing hundreds of thousands of customer interactions annually for major global automotive brands.
As they rebuild a core platform from the ground up on a modern Node.js stack while embracing an AI-first engineering culture, this role places you at the center of a small, senior team (~5–6 engineers). You will own delivery, people management, and team performance, focusing heavily on leadership, process, and execution while staying close enough to the code to remain credible and unblock your team.
Own end-to-end delivery across the core platform, ensuring consistent, high-quality output.
Provide line management, mentorship, and career development for a team of talented engineers (1-2-1s, performance tracking, progression).
Drive team processes, agile ways of working, and a positive engineering culture.
Partner closely with product management and leadership to prioritize and plan effectively.
Support hiring initiatives and help scale the wider engineering function.
Maintain a working familiarity with the codebase to guide, support, and unblock engineers when needed.
Proven commercial experience operating as an Engineering Manager or technical leader within software development environments.
Strong background in people management, agile delivery, and scaling high-performing engineering teams.
Familiarity with modern web technologies and stacks (Node.js, TypeScript, React / Next.js).
Experience working within cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS or GCP also relevant) and modern CI/CD pipelines.
Enthusiasm for AI-driven tooling and modern engineering workflows.
Excellent stakeholder management, collaboration, and communication skills.
