We are partnering with Richmond Village Cheltenham—a premier care community dedicated to delivering person-centred care, supporting independence, and helping residents live their best lives—to find a skilled and versatile Bank Maintenance Operative and Driver. In this dual-focused role, you will ensure our facilities remain fully functional and safe while organizing and facilitating a daily transport schedule to support residents' independence.
As a Bank Maintenance Operative through Supportive Bridge, you will carry out building and equipment maintenance, internal decorating, and vital health and safety compliance checks. Additionally, you will utilize company vehicles to provide scheduled and on-demand trips for residents, such as shopping excursions, visits to places of interest, and medical appointments.
Ensure maintenance and repair tasks are completed to a high standard with minimal disruption to residents and visitors across offices, workshops, and plant rooms.
Carry out ad-hoc internal decorating of accessible areas to maintain a pristine, high-standard environment.
Support health and safety compliance checks to strict deadlines, adhering to all statutory requirements, Bupa Standard Operating Procedures, and policies.
Organise and facilitate daily resident transport schedules, providing scheduled and on-demand trips for shopping, medical appointments, and outings.
Carry out scheduled vehicle checks, monitor fuel levels, maintain journey logs, report defects, and keep track of MOT and tax expiry dates.
Support out-of-hours call requirements and collaborate closely with the wider care home maintenance team.
A full, clean driving licence (essential).
A friendly, approachable nature with a solid understanding of building services, including heating, hot and cold-water distribution, ventilation, electrical distribution, and plumbing.
Knowledge of statutory requirements, compliance standards, and a strong commitment to maintaining high-quality environments.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine enjoyment of working with others and building positive relationships with residents.
