Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated, positive, and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our day team. In this pivotal role, you will take day-to-day responsibility for running your unit, working closely with the nurse on clinical duties, and leading, inspiring, and developing a close-knit team of Care Assistants to deliver exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take day-to-day responsibility for running the unit and conducting team shift handovers.

• Support nurses with clinical duties, including observations, issuing medication, reviewing care plans, and keeping accurate digital records.

• Drive, manage, train, and supervise a team of Care Assistants so they feel welcomed, supported, and ready to excel.

• Build strong, trusting relationships with residents, their families, and external healthcare teams like GPs and District Nurses.

• Assist residents with personal care duties with dignity, kindness, and respect.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

• Completed or working towards an NVQ Level 3 in Care (full support and training provided if needed).

• Previous experience in a senior care role with a clear understanding of its rewards and challenges.

• A positive, motivating, and collaborative attitude with excellent interpersonal skills.
