Are you a warm, confident, and energetic care professional who loves engaging clients through hobbies, music, and meaningful daily routines?
Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to support specialized home-care placements, partnering to find exceptional care providers for individuals with complex needs. We are currently recruiting a dedicated Complex Healthcare Support Worker to support a young female client in her family home in Eastleigh.
The client thrives on routine and lively interaction. She enjoys arts and crafts, reading, and music (especially the Foo Fighters!). Although she is non-verbal, she communicates effectively via lip reading, Makaton, and guiding her care team on activities—so you should be happy to follow her lead and be fully engaged. (Note: She also lives with a small, elderly dog, so being comfortable around pets is essential!)
Person-Centred Engagement: Build a trusting, positive rapport by actively supporting communication through lip reading and Makaton.
Activity-Led Support: Encourage and participate in hobbies and interests such as arts, crafts, reading, and music, promoting emotional wellbeing, choice, and independence.
Specialist Clinical Care: Provide high-quality complex support, including clinical tasks such as tracheostomy care (full specialist training provided).
Responsive Care: Respect the client's guidance on her preferred daily activities while maintaining a calm, level-headed, and switched-on presence.
To excel in this specialized agency placement, you will need:
Essential previous care experience (female carers preferred due to personal care and client preference).
A confident, emotionally intelligent, and high-energy approach, with a driving license preferred for travel flexibility.
Comfort working in a family home environment alongside pets.
Previous experience with tracheostomy care is desirable, though full training will be provided.
Full Right to Work in the UK (please note: visa sponsorship cannot be offered for this placement).
Partnering with Supportive Bridge gives you the career flexibility you want with the security and backing you deserve. Benefits of joining our agency include:
Competitive Pay Rates: Excellent hourly pay at £17.60/hr.
Comprehensive Benefits: Holiday pay, pension scheme, and a company-paid Blue Light Card.
Professional Growth: Thorough paid induction, ongoing clinical training, opportunities to develop specialist skills (like tracheostomy care), and enrolment onto Level 2 to Level 5 NVQ/Diploma qualifications.
