Location: Edmund House Care Home, 98–108 Everest Road, Ashby, Scunthorpe, DN16 3EB
Salary: £12.90 – £14.51 per hour (depending on qualifications and experience)
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time (Day and night shifts available; rota includes alternate weekends)

We are partnering with Edmund House (part of Bupa)—a wonderful care home dedicated to delivering person-centred care, independence, and choice—to find a dedicated Senior Care Assistant for a permanent, full-time role. In this vital position, you will take day-to-day responsibility for running a unit, mentoring care assistants, and ensuring our residents receive the highest standard of personal and clinical support.
What You’ll Be Doing
Taking day-to-day responsibility for running a unit and leading effective shift handovers.
Managing the issuing of medication, reviewing care plans, and maintaining accurate digital records.
Leading, inspiring, developing, and supervising a close-knit team of Care Assistants, as well as welcoming new team members.
Building strong, meaningful relationships with residents, their families, and external healthcare professionals like GPs and District Nurses.
What We’re Looking For
Completed or actively working towards an NVQ Level 3 in Care (full support provided if needed).
Previous experience in a senior care role, with a strong understanding of its rewards and operational challenges.
A motivated, positive personality with fantastic interpersonal and leadership skills.
