Chef Manager

Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of Bupa for a Chef Manager to join their care home team in Reading, UK. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced culinary professional to lead a dedicated kitchen team while delivering nutritious, high-quality meals that enhance residents' wellbeing and daily lives.

The successful candidate will oversee kitchen operations, ensure compliance with food safety standards, and create varied menus tailored to residents' dietary needs and preferences, while fostering a positive dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the kitchen team while preparing fresh, nutritious meals for residents.

• Plan varied menus that meet dietary requirements and maintain high food safety and hygiene standards.

• Manage stock, budgets and supplier relationships to ensure the efficient operation of the kitchen.

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a fresh food kitchen with leadership responsibilities.

• Food hygiene qualifications with a strong understanding of HACCP and COSHH.

• Excellent organisational, menu planning and team management skills.
