We are currently recruiting a dedicated Driver to join our team at RAF Brize Norton—the largest operating base within the Royal Air Force.
In this vital role, you will deliver safe and efficient transport services that keep operations running smoothly, directly supporting the Royal Air Force (RAF) and Ministry of Defence (MOD). Your contribution will help maintain critical air transport and refuelling capabilities that impact national security and community support.
What You’ll Do
Transport Operations: Carry out a full range of driving duties across the site, ensuring strict compliance with EU and GB driver regulations and company road transport policies.
Logs & Compliance: Complete tachograph or GB Driver logbooks accurately, carry required driver cards, and perform daily vehicle checks to report defects promptly.
Safety & Security: Drive safely and courteously, securing loads, ensuring passenger safety, wearing appropriate PPE, and handling dangerous goods according to protocols.
Incident Management: Promptly report any damage, accidents, or operational issues, and notify management of any factors impacting service delivery.
What We Are Looking For
Licence Requirements: Hold a full driving licence with Category D (Category C is desirable).
Professional Qualifications: A valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC) for all relevant licences held.
Airfield Standards: The ability to meet colour perception standards required to secure an Airfield Driving Permit.
Work Ethic: A reliable, safety-conscious, and professional approach to transport operations within a high-security environment.

Vetting and Checks
This role requires Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance (verifying identity, employment history, nationality, and criminal record). Depending on specific duties, formal Security Clearance (such as CTC or SC) may also be required, which includes detailed financial and background checks. Candidates will complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to ensure proper support is provided.
