About the Role
Provide vital commercial leadership across a critical, multi-billion-pound defence contract! As a staffing partner, Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to recruit for this high-profile Commercial Manager position on behalf of BAE Systems.
Working within the Next Generation Munitions Solution (NGMS) Joint Requirements Capability Cell (JRCC), you will act as the day-to-day commercial decision-maker for Land UK. You will support governance, stakeholder engagement, and effective commercial delivery to shape the future of defence munitions capability.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Leadership: Lead all commercial activities across the NGMS contract, including annual order cycles, contract amendments, engineering tasking, and emerging business requirements.
Collaborative Delivery: Drive a consistent and collaborative commercial approach across Integrated Delivery Teams, Engineering functions, and key MOD stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build effective working relationships with the contracting authority, including regular engagement at Abbey Wood and Glascoed, to maximise long-term contract value.
Governance & Compliance: Maintain compliant contractual arrangements and support NGMS lifecycle governance activities, including LCM gate reviews, RBA approvals, and Service Delivery Plan maintenance.
What We Are Looking For
Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial awareness with a proven understanding of defence contracting environments.
Regulatory Knowledge: Working knowledge of UK MOD contracts and Single Source Procurement Regulations.
Risk & Financial Management: Financially astute background with experience managing contract risk, opportunities, legal considerations, and preparing robust business approvals.
Leadership & Influence: Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, with proven leadership experience in complex multi-functional environments.
