Position Type: Fixed-Term (Until August 2027, with potential to extend) | Part-Time (25 Hours/Week, 39 Weeks/Year – Term Time Only)
Salary: £14,819.00 – £15,533.00 per annum + Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) & Lift Schools Benefits
About the Role
Supportive Bridge Staffing is delighted to represent Lift North Thoresby in recruiting a dedicated 1 to 1 Teaching Assistant.
In this role, you will play a key part in transforming a child's educational journey by delivering tailored 1:1 support (and working with small groups as needed). Key Responsibilities
1:1 & Group Learning: Provide targeted 1:1 support for an individual pupil during focused learning tasks, with flexibility to assist small groups or work across the wider school when required.
Language & Literacy Support: Encourage speech and language development through structured play, interactive conversation, and early literacy activities.
Progress Tracking: Observe pupil progress, keep clear records, and regularly share insights with the classroom teacher.
Holistic Care & Wellbeing: Assist with personal care needs with dignity and respect, while actively promoting positive behavior, emotional wellbeing, and a sense of belonging.
Learning Environment: Assist teachers in preparing clean, stimulating, and well-organized learning spaces.
What We Are Looking For
Essential Criteria: UK Right to Work (sponsorship is not available for this role).
Skills & Experience:
Prior experience supporting children within a school setting.
Strong understanding of child development and how primary pupils learn.
Flexible, empathetic, and collaborative working style.
Advantageous (Not Essential):
Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
Familiarity with phonics programs (e.g., Read Write Inc.).
