Position: Healthcare Assistant (Theatres)
Location: Ross Hall Hospital, Glasgow
Employment Type: Permanent | Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)

Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Ross Hall Hospital—part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading independent healthcare provider—to recruit a dedicated Healthcare Assistant for their busy Theatres department.
In this vital role, you will work collaboratively with nurses, doctors, therapists, and administrative teams to deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care in a premier surgical environment.
Patient Care: Assist patients with personal hygiene, washing, dressing, toileting, oral care, and mobility needs while respecting their dignity.
Nutritional Support: Help patients with eating and drinking, accurately documenting nutritional intake where appropriate.
Emotional Support: Provide comfort and reassurance to patients and their relatives, fostering a safe and caring environment.
Clinical Observations: Carry out and record routine observations (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation, and blood glucose levels) following appropriate training.
Clinical Procedures: Support basic clinical tasks including wound care setup, catheter care, pressure area prevention, and utilization of mobility aids.
Environment Maintenance: Prepare and maintain clinical areas, equipment, trolleys, and beds in readiness for patient use.
Experience: Previous experience in a care or health support role (hospital, care home, community, or domiciliary).
Attributes: Good communication and interpersonal skills paired with a caring, compassionate attitude.
Skills: Basic literacy, numeracy, and IT skills; ability to follow instructions and escalate concerns appropriately.
Physical Capability: Physically able to undertake duties including moving and handling tasks.
Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is desirable.
Knowledge: Understanding of safeguarding, infection control, and confidentiality procedures.
