• Hourly Pay: £13.40 per hour

• Contract Type: Permanent / Part-Time (Shift Details: 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM or 11:30 AM – 07:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in leading the culinary team to provide a comprehensive, high-standard catering service.

• Prepare nutritious food and beverages to an exceptional standard as directed, ensuring all special needs and dietary requirements are met.

• Participate in meetings with residents and Heads of Department to discuss and coordinate catering functions across the home.

• Support cost-effective stock control systems to minimise waste while maintaining quality.

• Work collaboratively with senior kitchen staff to regularly review and develop the home's menus.

Person Specification & Requirements

• Qualifications: Must hold a recognised catering qualification (such as City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2, NVQ, or equivalent) and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of professional catering experience.

• Core Skills & Qualities: Compassion and commitment to delivering high-quality culinary services, combined with adaptability and flexibility to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

• Compliance: Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check required (cost met by Avery Healthcare) alongside proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
