Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with BAE Systems—a global leader in defence, aerospace, and security—to source a visionary and analytical Graduate Air Solutions Architect for a permanent career opportunity in Lancashire.
As part of the world-renowned Air Team, you will support the design and delivery of cutting-edge technology solutions, translating business requirements into secure, scalable, and sustainable architectures. This permanent position offers an extraordinary platform to help shape solution direction and deliver world-leading aircraft programs like the Typhoon, F-35, and Tempest.
Role Overview
Working across cross-functional initiatives, you will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, project managers, and suppliers to evaluate architectural options, ensure governance and compliance, and resolve complex challenges. You will provide guidance throughout the solution lifecycle to drive long-term technology capabilities.
Core Duties & Responsibilities
Architecture Definition: Support the definition of solution architectures and designs to meet business and system requirements within project constraints.
As-Is & To-Be Mapping: Capture and define current and target application, data, and technology architectures.
Design Reviews: Review overall functional and technical designs against stringent project requirements.
Supplier Liaison: Coordinate effectively with internal and external IM&T suppliers and product teams.
Project Collaboration: Work alongside Project Managers to support the development of project plans, estimates, and schedules.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
Academic Background: Must have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, at least a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree (or a pass at Master's level) in Physics, Maths, Systems Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, or Computer Science.
Working Arrangement: On-site presence in Warton or Samlesbury 3 to 4 days per week under hybrid working guidelines.
Security Clearance: All applicants must achieve, as a minimum, the Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). Note: Due to security and export control restrictions, candidates must meet national identity, birthplace, and residency criteria (typically requiring continuous UK residency of 5 to 10 years for higher-level national security vetting).
