About the Role

As a supportive bridge staffing agency, we are proud to partner with Tesco to help candidates connect with fantastic career opportunities. Tesco is currently seeking a dependable, friendly, and customer-focused Customer Delivery Driver to join the permanent team at their Prescot Extra store.

As the face of Tesco on the road, you will visit customers in their homes every day. This hands-on, physical role offers plenty of variety where no two shifts are the same. While you will work independently for much of the day, you will always have a supportive team of managers and colleagues back at base.

Availability & Working Hours

• Contracted Hours: 18 hours per week (guaranteed minimum hours policy applies, with options to discuss flexibility down to 12 hours if needed).

• Required Availability Window:

  • Sunday: 09:00 – 15:00

  • Tuesday: 07:00 – 13:00

  • Friday: 09:00 – 18:00

  • Saturday: 07:00 – 13:00

• Note: Applicants must be over 18 years of age for driving and delivery roles.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service on the Road: Deliver orders within the customer’s time slot, providing warm, natural, and friendly service at the doorstep to leave customers feeling valued.

• Order Communication: Talk customers through any order changes, substitutions, or short-dated items in a reassuring way, handling refunds where needed to ensure a smooth experience.

• Vehicle Care & Safety: Load the van safely, complete all necessary checks to ensure it is roadworthy and reliable, and keep your van, trays, and work area clean and organised.

• Product Quality: Handle products with care, treating every order as if it were your own to maintain high quality and customer trust.

What You Will Need

• Driving Licence: Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic) for at least 12 months, with no more than 3 penalty points.

• A warm, welcoming personality with a passion for delivering great service and building strong customer relationships.

• The flexibility and responsiveness to adapt to changing needs while out on the road and back in store.

• Must be over 18 years old to apply.
