As a Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency, we are proud to partner with Morrisons to source a talented, high-energy Operations Manager for their store in Penrith, Cumbria.
Deputising for the Store Manager, you will play a critical leadership role in ensuring daily store operations run smoothly, safely, and profitably. You will foster an inclusive, engaging work environment where high performance is recognized, store standards are driven to excellence, and the management team is effectively mentored and developed.
Operational Oversight: Accountable for end-to-end store operations, ensuring proper resource allocation to deliver daily routines to the highest standard.
Talent & Team Development: Continuously identify, mentor, and build a strong talent pipeline across the store while expanding management accountability.
Compliance & Safety: Serve as an expert in safe and legal standards, ensuring all departments comply strictly with food safety regulations.
Commercial Performance: Contribute to the annual store plan using a commercial mindset to uncover opportunities, drive sales targets, and maximize growth.
Customer Focus: Oversee availability processes and listen directly to customer feedback to continually enhance the overall shopping experience.
We are looking for an experienced senior retail leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Experience: Essential background in the retail industry, with proven experience managing a large customer-facing, high-turnover operation (over £150k turnover per week).
Leadership & Coaching: Strong leadership skills coupled with exceptional coaching abilities to inspire the team and establish common ways of working.
Collaboration & Trust: Proven ability to resolve challenges, build trust across the entire store team, and foster a collaborative culture.
Strategic Alignment: Capable of setting clear, department-level objectives aligned directly with Morrisons’ core priorities.
