We are proud to partner with BAE Systems to source an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer – CMM Programmer to join the FalconWorks division in Warton.
About the Role
Working within FalconWorks, you will support a diverse portfolio of prestigious programmes including Typhoon, F-35, Hawk, and Tempest. In this varied, project-based role focused on one-off and low-volume production, you will develop digital CMM inspection processes for detailed machined components, fabrications, sheet metal parts, and small sub-assemblies to support both new product introduction and in-service requirements.
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
Translate design information (CAD models, drawings, and specifications) into robust digital CMM inspection processes.
Apply a strong understanding of design for manufacture, dimensional management, and process planning.
Utilize advanced tools including CATIA V4/V5, LK CAMIO, and Siemens Dimensional Planning Verification (DPV).
Ensure full adherence to Geometrical Dimensional Management & Tolerancing (GD&T) across ISO and ASME standards.
What We Are Looking For (Essential Skills & Qualifications):
Educational Background: Minimum of an HNC/HND or recognized apprenticeship in Manufacturing Engineering.
Domain Experience: Good knowledge of basic manufacturing processes, engineering principles, and specific machining/inspection methodologies.
Toolset Proficiency: Familiarity with engineering toolsets such as CATIA V5, PLM, SAP CAM, SFM, and LK CAMIO inspection software or equivalent.
Collaboration & Delivery: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
Security Note: Due to defense and export control restrictions, all applicants must achieve at least a Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Higher levels of National Security Vetting may apply where required.
