Offering true schedule flexibility to cover shifts as and when needed (such as for annual leave or sick leave), this is a rewarding opportunity to deliver hotel and restaurant standards of hospitality with one of the UK's leading healthcare providers.
About the Role
As a Bank Chef, you’ll assist the Head Chef in delivering nutritious, flavoursome, and well-balanced menus tailored directly to our residents. Key responsibilities include:
Culinary Delivery: Using fresh, seasonal produce to cook wholesome, high-quality dishes adhering to the highest standards.
Kitchen Management: Managing the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence, including stock control, budgeting, and completing regular audits.
Team Leadership: Helping to lead, inspire, and motivate the kitchen team while fostering a warm, efficient, and fun environment.
Resident Engagement: Working collaboratively with residents to personalize menus and celebrate the joy of great food.
About You
We are looking for a qualified and motivated culinary professional who meets the following criteria:
Qualifications: Hold City & Guilds, NVQ, SVQ, or equivalent culinary qualifications.
Knowledge & Skills: Good understanding of nutrition, HACCP guidelines, and working with fresh seasonal ingredients, alongside experience in team leadership.
Attributes: A warm, personable approach with a genuine passion for resident wellbeing and a drive for culinary excellence.
