Location: Rivermead Care Home, 123 Scarborough Road, Malton, North Yorkshire, YO17 8AA (with travel across a 20-mile radius)
Pay Rate: £14.21 per hour (+ mileage covered for travel over 5 miles from your main home)
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 36.00 hours per week
Shift: Mixed (Days/Nights)

Working as a permanent Regional Care Assistant through our supportive bridge staffing agency on behalf of Barchester Healthcare, you will deliver warm, empathetic, and respectful care across a 20-mile radius. Your days will be wonderfully diverse—from monitoring care delivery and contributing to person-centred care planning to recording vital health observations (such as temperature and blood pressure). Most importantly, you will provide warm companionship and ensure every resident enjoys meaningful one-to-one time during every single shift.
Key Responsibilities (What You'll Do)
Deliver warm, empathetic, and respectful care and support across local Barchester homes within a 20-mile radius.
Monitor care delivery when on duty and contribute to person-centred care planning.
Record key health observations (e.g., temperature and blood pressure).
Provide meaningful companionship and ensure dedicated one-to-one time with residents.
Work a mixed schedule of day and night shifts across flexible locations.
Candidate Requirements (What You'll Need)
A solid background in care with a good understanding of elderly care and the wider healthcare industry.
A Level 2 NVQ in Health & Social Care (desirable) and a C or above in GCSE English and Maths (ideally).
A dedicated, compassionate nature with a true passion for people and wellbeing.
Your own car or ready access to one (essential for regional travel).
Note: Mileage is covered when travelling over five miles from your main home, and inspection bonuses apply if you are on duty when a 'Good' rating is achieved!
