Position: HGV Class 2 Driver / Loader
Location: Mitcham, CR4 3BQ
Salary/Rate: £39,935.00 per annum + £500 retention bonus (paid after successful 6-month probation) + lucrative overtime opportunities (1.5x Monday – Saturday, 2x for Bank Holidays plus a day in lieu)
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-time, 45 hours per week, Monday – Friday 04:00 AM – 14:00 PM, plus working every other Saturday morning from 04:00 AM – 10:00 AM)

About the Role
We are proud to partner with our client as a supportive staffing agency to recruit an enthusiastic HGV Driver / Loader for an immediate start in Mitcham. Whether you are newly qualified or an experienced driver, this permanent, hands-on role offers early-morning stability, fantastic earning potential, and fully funded in-house training to help you build your skills across various specialist vehicle types.
Key Responsibilities
Driving & Operation: Safely and efficiently drive and operate HGV vehicles to collect commercial and industrial waste across local routes.
Loading & Support: Handle bin collections and support operational tasks as required, including lone working duties.
Service Excellence: Deliver a high standard of professional customer service on every route.
Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all health and safety regulations and procedures at all times.
Working Pattern: Contracted 45 hours per week with 04:00 AM starts, working alternate Saturday mornings and 4 out of 8 Bank Holidays.

What We Are Looking For
Licence & Qualifications: A valid Class 2 (Category C) licence and a valid CPC card are essential requirements. (Newly qualified drivers are very welcome to apply!)
Attitude & Skills: Strong communication skills, a team-focused approach, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn new vehicle types.
Working Style: Reliable, safety-conscious, and comfortable with independent working, lone working, and loading duties.
