Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with vital public service providers to connect skilled professionals with rewarding careers. We are currently recruiting a dedicated Maintenance Operative for the Asylum Accommodation and Support Services (AASC) contract in the East of England.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that temporary accommodation properties are maintained to the highest standards, ensuring safety, comfort, and compliance with strict Service Level Agreement (SLA) deadlines.
What You’ll Do
As a Maintenance Operative, your daily duties will include:
Reactive & Proactive Repairs: Carry out requested repairs efficiently, spanning trades such as joinery, fitting, plumbing, painting, and decorating.
Workflow Management: Manage your own daily workflow autonomously while collaborating effectively within a broader team.
Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to health and safety standards for yourself and property users during and after all works.
Materials & Asset Care: Order and manage materials using company account cards from approved suppliers, and maintain the provided company vehicle and tools in a clean, professional condition.
Schedule & On-Call Requirements
Working Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Mon to Fri, 7.5 hours per day between 08:00 and 18:00 to meet operational needs).
On-Call Rota: Requirement to participate in out-of-hours on-call emergency cover once every 8–10 weeks.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: Proven maintenance experience in a relevant field (joinery, plumbing, decorating, fitting, etc.).
Licence: A valid, full UK driving licence is essential (travel within the region is required).
Attributes: Highly motivated, capable of managing workloads independently, and committed to high standards of customer service and safety.
Vetting: All offers are subject to standard security clearance checks and Home Office approval.
