Location: Wisbech (Producing premium chilled ready-to-cook meals for major retailers like Sainsbury's, Aldi, and Co-Op with a team of over 525 colleagues)
Pay Rate: £15.67 per hour
Job Type: Permanent - Full-Time
Shift Pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off (Nights: 19:00 – 07:00)

As a supportive bridge staffing agency, we are proud to partner with Greencore (following their combination with Bakkavor) to find dedicated hygiene leadership and operational talent. Greencore is one of the UK’s leading convenience food creators, employing over 28,000 colleagues across 36 manufacturing sites and 21 distribution depots.
At their facility in Wisbech, we are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Hygiene Team Leader to lead the night hygiene team, ensuring all production areas, machinery, and facilities are sanitized and ready for production to the highest safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Shift Leadership & Management: Lead, support, and motivate the night hygiene team, organizing workloads, allocating cleaning tasks, and ensuring schedules are completed on time.
Hygiene & Quality Checks: Monitor cleaning quality, carry out rigorous checks, and ensure production equipment is sanitized safely and effectively using correct chemicals, equipment, and PPE.
Compliance & Documentation: Ensure strict adherence to Health & Safety, Food Safety, HACCP, and GMP standards while maintaining accurate hygiene records and documentation.
Team Support: Assist with training and development, manage day-to-day team concerns, and collaborate closely with Production and Hygiene Management.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: Previous experience leading, supervising, or supporting a team within a hygiene, food manufacturing, or similar fast-paced environment.
Knowledge & Skills: A strong understanding of hygiene and cleaning standards, food safety protocols, and safe chemical handling.
Core Attributes: Excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, reliability under pressure, and a willingness to be hands-on when supporting the team.
