Reporting directly to the Data Protection Officer, you will own the operational frameworks and service standards for Data Subject Rights (DSRs), data breach management, DPIA governance, and privacy-by-design. This is a vital leadership opportunity for an experienced professional who can combine practical privacy judgment with strong operational discipline.
As a Privacy Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Breach Management: Maintain the data breach management framework, ensuring consistent triage, thorough assessment, proper documentation, and valuable lessons learned.
DPIA Governance: Lead DPIA governance, workflows, templates, and adviser support to seamlessly embed privacy-by-design into new and changing activities.
Advisory & Guidance: Provide substantive operational privacy guidance for queries routed through the Privacy Office, establishing practical playbooks and documentation.
MI & Risk Monitoring: Monitor operational management information (MI) across DSRs, breaches, and DPIAs to identify risks, capacity pressures, and service improvement priorities.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely across Governance & Assurance, Information Governance, Legal, HR, IT, and operational teams, escalating high-risk or precedent-setting matters appropriately.
Relevant Experience: Proven experience managing operational privacy, compliance, legal operations, information governance, risk, or assurance processes.
Technical Expertise: Strong practical background in handling Data Subject Rights, breach management, and/or DPIA processes, alongside a solid working knowledge of the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.

Operational Discipline: Strong capability in reporting, prioritization, and continuous improvement within a demanding environment.
Competitive Package: £70,000 - £80,000 per annum (Band 3) plus a 5% target bonus scheme.
Perks & Driving: Company car allowance/vehicle benefits and private healthcare.
Pension & Flexibility: 6% contributory pension scheme, with flexible/hybrid working options considered.
Health & Wellbeing: Employee Assistance Programme, Simply Health Cash Plans, virtual GP access, and leisure centre discounts.
Career Growth: Wealth of tailored career development training, leadership coaching, role-specific learning, and inclusion networks.
