The Role
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will act as a vital link between the main kitchen and our residents, helping our chefs deliver delicious, person-centred meals and memorable dining experiences within a friendly, community-focused setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist chefs in plating meals, preparing food trolleys, and ensuring all preparation areas are kept clean, tidy, and hygienic.
Monitor stock rotation while complying with company policies, COSHH, and HACCP guidelines.
Assist with catering for special events and community celebrations, such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties.
Collaborate closely with wider kitchen and care home teams to ensure residents enjoy a pleasant dining experience.
What We Are Looking For
A genuine passion for food with previous experience working in a kitchen environment.
A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (or equivalent).
Excellent communication skills, an organised approach, and a warm, customer-focused attitude toward residents.
