Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with the City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council to recruit a dedicated Housing Options Assistant for their Housing Options Team.
The Housing Options Service provides vital housing advice and homelessness services to customers in need, acting as a gateway to Housing Related Support across the district with a strong focus on homelessness prevention and achieving positive, lasting outcomes.
As a Housing Options Assistant, you will act as a primary point of contact for members of the public, advice sector agencies, and professionals, delivering a flexible and comprehensive advisory service to clients often approaching the service in crisis.
Key responsibilities include:
Coordinating Temporary Accommodation: Acting as a single point of contact for emergency and temporary accommodation (including B&Bs) providers, managing planned moves, and issuing relevant notices or duty cessation letters.
Preventing Homelessness: Providing expert advice on affordability, under-occupation, security of tenure, harassment, disrepair, and illegal eviction, while negotiating and mediating between tenants and landlords.
Securing Re-Housing Solutions: Working collaboratively with customers, Incommunities, registered providers, and the private rented sector to arrange suitable, affordable long-term accommodation.
Housing Related Support: Assessing client needs, completing referral forms, and linking individuals to appropriate accommodation-based or floating support providers.
