About the Role
We are recruiting a permanent Night Nurse (RGN) to lead the overnight clinical care team at Lancaster Grange Care Home in Newark on Trent.
In this autonomous clinical role, you will lead overnight nursing care, making critical clinical decisions to support the physical, psychological, and social needs of residents. Working 48 hours per week on night shifts, you will oversee care delivery, administer medications safely, manage emergency clinical responses, and ensure a safe, tranquil environment for all residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality clinical leadership and nursing care on night shifts.
Develop, review, and evaluate comprehensive care plans and detailed risk assessments.
Administer medications safely in full accordance with Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines and clinical protocols.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS).
Oversee overnight safety, manage clinical emergencies, and deliver detailed shift handovers.
About You
To join us as a Night Nurse (RGN), you will bring:
Active NMC Registration (Registered General Nurse - RGN).
Strong, up-to-date knowledge of clinical best practices and regulatory care frameworks (MCA/DoLS).
Proven experience in care planning, clinical risk assessment, and safe medication management.
A compassionate, thoughtful, and clinical-focused approach suited to a night shift environment.
