Location: Unit 10E, Greendale Business Park, Woodbury Salterton, Exeter, EX5 1EW
Salary/Rate: £38,679.22 per annum (£15.61 per hour) + £25 daily bonus for single-manned working + fantastic overtime opportunities
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-time, 47.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 04:00 AM – 14:00 PM)

About the Role
We are proud to partner with our client as a supportive staffing agency to recruit an enthusiastic HGV Driver / Loader for their team in Exeter. Whether you are an experienced driver or newly qualified, this hands-on, permanent role offers early-morning stability, great earning potential, and the opportunity to make a meaningful environmental impact by providing essential commercial and industrial waste services.
Key Responsibilities
Driving & Loading: Safely drive and operate vehicles to collect industrial and commercial waste and recycling, including handling loading duties as required.
Service Excellence: Deliver a high standard of professional customer service while working effectively both independently and as part of a supportive team.
Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all customer and company health and safety rules and regulations at all times.
Working Pattern & Overtime: Contracted 47.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 04:00 AM start, with mandatory Bank Holiday working). Benefit from lucrative overtime rates (1.5x Monday–Friday, or up to triple pay / 2x plus a day in lieu on Bank Holidays).

What We Are Looking For
Licence & Qualifications: A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence, a valid CPC card, and a valid tachograph card are all essential. (Newly qualified drivers are very welcome to apply!)
Experience: Previous waste industry experience or familiarity with Rear Compaction Vehicles is desirable, but not essential as full training is provided.
Attitude & Skills: A passion for professional driving, good communication skills, a reliable work ethic, and a positive, customer-focused attitude.
