The Role

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will take day-to-day responsibility for running a unit, providing vital support to the nursing team with clinical duties, and driving a team of Care Assistants to ensure the highest standards of resident care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support nursing staff with clinical duties, including observing residents, administering medication, reviewing digital care plans, and maintaining accurate records.

• Lead and manage a team of Care Assistants, taking responsibility for shift handovers.

• Help with the training, supervision, and onboarding of new staff members so they feel welcomed and supported.

• Build strong relationships with residents, their families, and external healthcare professionals such as GPs and District Nurses.

• Assist residents with personal care duties and ensure their health, dignity, and comfort are always prioritised.

What We Are Looking For

• An NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (essential for bringing the necessary expertise and professionalism to the role).

• Proven experience in a care home environment with a strong track record of leadership, team management, and clinical support.

• Compassionate, empathetic, and organized, with exceptional communication skills.
