What Is Required From You?

• A minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK.

• A solid background working within professional kitchens with an understanding of how to manage a kitchen environment effectively.

• Knowledge of the IDDSI framework or experience supporting complex dietary requirements is highly desirable.

• Contract Type: Please note that this is a bank contract.

• Flexibility: Must be flexible to work weekends and/or weekdays when needed, between the hours of 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

A Day in the Life of a Cook

• Menu Planning: Collaborate with home managers and residents to develop and implement menu ideas based on resident requests and wishes. Showcase your culinary skills and creativity during themed days and special events.

• Understanding Dietary Needs: Work closely with the wider care staff to ensure we are meeting residents' specific nutritional and dietary needs, including modified food textures and allergy management.

• Kitchen Management: Act as the main point of contact for the kitchen, taking responsibility for day-to-day stock management, food safety, and high hygiene standards.
