Are you passionate about fresh food and exceptional customer service? Morrisons is seeking a high-performing Fresh Food Manager to join their team in Tyglas, Cardiff. Famous for our Market Street counters and close relationships with growers and farmers, our fresh food operations are what make us unique. In this key leadership role, you will champion product availability, put customers at the heart of everything we do, and empower your team to deliver outstanding standards every day.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and empower store colleagues to always put the customer first and deliver exceptional service.
Take pride in product availability, quality, and standards across the fresh food departments.
Actively listen and respond to customer feedback to continuously improve the shopping experience.
Work collaboratively with other store managers to build a supportive, performance-driven culture.
Efficiently manage people routines, including scheduling, absence management, performance, and talent conversations.
Deliver targeted training to ensure team members have the capability, confidence, and flexibility to work across various departments.
Plan resources thoroughly and take an active leadership role within the wider store.
What Me Need From You
To thrive in this management role, you will need:
Previous experience managing a team in a fast-paced environment (retail, hospitality, service, or travel/tourism backgrounds are welcome).
Strong communication skills, with the ability to share knowledge, best practices, and build strong relationships.
Flexibility, adaptability to change, and the ability to challenge effectively.
A strong customer-first approach, actively listening to and responding effectively to both customers and colleagues.
