About the Role
Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is partnering with Bupa to recruit an experienced and driven Senior Care Assistant for a bank contract at Newton Court Care Home in Cheshire.
As a Senior Care Assistant, you play a vital leadership role within the home. Beyond delivering high-quality personal care, you will inspire, develop, and mentor a team of Care Assistants to be their best every day. Bupa provides complete training on advanced digital care systems, making workflows smoother and allowing you to focus on clinical excellence, leadership, and resident care.
Key Responsibilities:
Taking day-to-day responsibility for running a dedicated care unit.
Supporting clinical duties by assisting nurses with observations, issuing medication, reviewing care plans, and maintaining accurate records.
Leading and managing a team of Care Assistants, including conducting thorough shift handovers.
Helping with the training, onboarding, and supervision of new staff members.
Building strong, meaningful relationships with residents, their families, and external professionals such as GPs and District Nurses.
Assisting residents with a wide range of personal care duties.
Requirements & Qualifications
Completed or actively working towards an NVQ Level 3 in Care (full company support provided to finish your qualification if needed).
Motivation, positivity, and exceptional interpersonal skills to lead a close-knit team.
Previous experience in a senior care role, with a strong understanding of its unique rewards and challenges.
