Location: Snowdrop Place Care Home, Pavilion Road, Southampton, SO30 2ZS
Pay Rate: £19.50 per hour
Hours: Bank (Flexible / As required)
Shift Details: Days (Alternate weekends included)

About the Role
Are you a qualified chef looking to work with fresh, seasonal food while enjoying a better work-life balance? As a Bank Chef at Snowdrop Place, you will deliver hotel and restaurant standards without the split shifts and grueling hours.
Working alongside the Head Chef, you will create nutritious, flavoursome, and well-balanced menus tailored directly to our residents. Your responsibilities will include:
Using fresh produce to cook high-quality, wholesome dishes to the highest standards.
Helping manage the kitchen and stepping in during the Head Chef's absence.
Assisting in leading, inspiring, and motivating the kitchen team.
Managing stock control, operating within budget, and completing regular audits.
Fostering a warm, efficient, and fun kitchen environment.
About You
To join our passionate team, you will need to bring:
Qualifications: City & Guilds / NVQ / SVQ or equivalent certification.
Experience: Background in working with fresh seasonal food and helping lead or inspire a team.
Knowledge: A good understanding of nutrition and HACCP regulations.
Qualities: A personable, warm approach with a genuine interest in resident wellbeing and a drive for exceptional quality.
