Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Airedale NHS Foundation Trust to recruit a friendly and enthusiastic Consultant in Emergency Medicine at any stage of their career to join our popular and well-regarded team at Airedale General Hospital.
With Airedale embarking on an inspiring journey to build a brand-new state-of-the-art hospital on our Steeton site by 2033 and advancing into a digital future, this is a phenomenal opportunity to help shape the future landscape of emergency healthcare for our communities.
Working within a state-of-the-art £6.2 million Emergency Department handling over 75,000 patients per year (including ~15,000 children), you will deliver expert clinical care and leadership. Key responsibilities include:
Clinical Leadership & Delivery: Delivering high-quality emergency medical services within agreed resources, backed by a generous Supporting Professional Activities (SPA) allowance and part-annualised work patterns.
Clinical Governance: Participating fully in the Trust’s clinical governance, service planning, quality improvement, and audit processes.
Team Mentorship: Leading service developments and mentoring junior medical staff within a collaborative and inclusive multi-disciplinary team.
We are looking for a dedicated emergency care specialist who meets the following criteria:
Registration & Qualifications: Full GMC registration with a license to practice, entry on the GMC Specialist Register via CCT (proposed date within 6 months), CESR, or European Community Rights (with ALS, ATLS, ETC, or APLS desired).
Experience: Extensive experience across the full range of Emergency Medicine presentations.
Skills & Attributes: Strong leadership, problem-solving, teaching, and communication skills, alongside an active commitment to clinical governance and service improvement.
