Joining Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency, our newly furnished home near Wimborne supports up to three children, providing a safe, nurturing environment where they can thrive. We are looking for caring, dependable, and passionate individuals who want to make a genuine difference in children's lives during the night. No prior experience is necessary—comprehensive training and ongoing support are provided!

What We Offer You

• Competitive Pay: £14.50 per hour, increasing to £15.50 per hour if you hold a Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare + additional overnight shift payments

• Contract Details: Full-time contract averaging 40 hours per week (Waking Night shifts: 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM)

What Is Required From You?

• Experience & Qualifications: Previous experience is welcomed and reflected in a higher pay rate, but it's not essential. Candidates should hold or be willing to work towards an NVQ Level 3 (or above) in Residential Childcare.

• Personal Attributes: A genuine passion for supporting children with complex needs, patience, resilience, emotional intelligence, and a positive team-player mindset.

• Driving Licence: A full UK driving licence is ideal, as travel between dual-registered homes in Wimborne may occasionally be required.

• Right to Work: A minimum of 12 months remaining on your right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is currently unavailable).

• Compliance & Vetting: This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and is subject to enhanced DBS checks and comprehensive safer recruitment vetting procedures.

What You Will Be Doing

As part of a team committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, you will provide consistent, compassionate support that helps children feel safe, valued, and empowered through:

• Building Relationships: Fostering positive and trusting connections with children and young people.

• Bedtime Routines: Supporting evening, bedtime, and settling routines to promote security and peace of mind.

• Welfare Monitoring: Monitoring children's wellbeing throughout the night and carrying out regular hourly welfare and administrative checks.

• Home Maintenance: Completing light domestic duties to maintain a clean, comfortable, and welcoming home environment.

• Care & Safety Support: Supporting care plans, daily routines, and risk assessments (with full training provided).
