Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive, customer-focused Credit Control Advisor to join the finance team at Bupa Place in Manchester. In this role, you will deliver an exceptional, customer-focused credit control service through timely debt collection, query resolution, account reconciliation, and accurate cash allocation while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage customer correspondence and workflow tasks efficiently via system-generated alerts, emails, and telephone calls.

• Monitor and manage customer debt positions by reviewing account balances, investigating queries, and agreeing payment arrangements.

• Take ownership of assigned debt portfolios to ensure timely recovery of overdue accounts and accurate cash matching.

• Reconcile customer accounts to investigate and resolve discrepancies, ensuring high data accuracy within billing systems.

• Log and escalate customer complaints professionally in collaboration with the Credit Control Team Leader.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

• Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience within a finance or commercial environment.

• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Well-developed verbal and written communication skills with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels.

• A proactive, adaptable approach with strong self-motivation and organisational abilities.
