About the Role
Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Branston to recruit a reliable and motivated Water Plant Operative for their facility in Lincoln.
Working directly within the water treatment plant, this is a crucial hands-on role providing essential daily support to wider packing and yard operations. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient management of wastewater treatment and waste handling processes, strictly adhering to environmental, health, and safety compliance policies.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Wastewater Management: Safely handle and treat wastewater, mixing and applying chemicals as required.
Washer Coordination: Control and coordinate washer drops strictly according to set operational schedules.
Waste Handling: Safely remove waste soil into correct skips and designated tanks.
Anaerobic Digestion (AD): Monitor and operate the AD plant in accordance with established procedures.
Plant Operation: Safely control the water treatment facility, execute hygiene schedules, and conduct thorough cleaning procedures.
Documentation & Checks: Accurately record operational data, complete required paperwork, and perform routine equipment checks to report any defects or maintenance needs promptly.
Compliance: Ensure complete adherence to all environmental, health, safety, and quality standards.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential: Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) Licence.
Background: Previous hands-on experience working in a water treatment, wastewater, utilities, manufacturing, recycling, food production, or industrial setting.
Technical Knowledge: Basic IT skills for digital record-keeping and data entry; familiarity with chemical handling and safe working practices is highly desirable.
Competencies: Strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Desirable Qualifications: Experience operating pumps, valves, tanks, or automated process equipment; holding an IOSH Working Safely (or equivalent) qualification.
