About the Role

Join a multi-disciplinary team of highly skilled engineers working across major cross-platform aircraft programmes! As a staffing partner, Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to recruit for this vital Flight Systems Engineer – Crew Systems position on behalf of BAE Systems.

Operating within the Crew Systems Team (covering Crew Escape, Oxygen/Life Support, and Aircrew Equipment) as a shared service, you will support critical programmes like Typhoon, Hawk, F-35, and Tornado. You will develop and supply technical expertise in the engineering specification, development, clearance, and support of advanced crew systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Subject Matter Expertise: Act as an SME supporting Technical Leads within Crew Systems and lead major capability upgrade programmes.

• Documentation & Review: Support critical design, development, and performance control documentation across all delivery streams.

• Problem Resolution: Drive specific technical problem resolution and assess cost and timescale estimations throughout the systems engineering lifecycle.

• Risk & Compliance: Manage risks, maintain high standards of quality, and ensure strict compliance with all safety requirements.

• Stakeholder Coordination: Co-ordinate activities across team members, interfacing disciplines, specialist suppliers, and customers.

What We Are Looking For

• Educational Background: Degree, HND, or equivalent experience in a STEM-related discipline.

• Engineering Experience: Systems engineering or support engineering background with a specific focus on mechanical systems.

• Lifecycle Knowledge: Strong understanding of the full engineering lifecycle of a product.

• Domain Familiarity: Prior knowledge or experience with flight systems is highly desirable.
