About the Role

Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is excited to partner with Branston to recruit dedicated Production Operatives for their newly upgraded Fresh factory in Perth (Abernethy Site).

Following major developments and the installation of cutting-edge automation equipment, this is an exciting time to join a growing environment supplying fresh and prepared products to major UK retailers. You will perform essential manual tasks associated with packing, grading, and stacking, playing an integral role in keeping our operations smooth and efficient.

Shift Pattern (37.5 Hours per Week)

• Week 1: Monday to Wednesday (06:30 – 18:00) & Sunday (06:30 – 17:00)

• Week 2: Monday to Tuesday (06:30 – 18:00) & Sunday (06:30 – 17:00)

• Note: Flexibility is welcomed, as the site runs a seasonal night shift for up to 5 months of the year, carrying an attractive 12.5% shift premium.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Picking & Grading: Inspect and grade potatoes to guarantee they meet strict customer specifications, escalating any concerns immediately to the quality team.

• Production Targets: Ensure production orders are completed on time and in alignment with schedules.

• Packaging & Presentation: Assemble trays and management units (MUs) ready for product packaging.

• Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to maximize packing operations while maintaining positive, clear communication.

• Hygiene & Compliance: Ensure production line hygiene strictly complies with auditing standards.

• Operational Support: Assist machine operatives with changeovers and "buddy up" to train new starters.

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience working within a food manufacturing or fast-paced production environment is preferred.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a supportive team.

• A flexible, adaptable approach to handle a varied and fast-changing workload.
