Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with BAE Systems—a global leader in defence, aerospace, and security—to source an analytical and driven Graduate Air Support Engineer for a permanent career opportunity in Lancashire.

As part of the world-renowned Air Team, you will contribute to core Through Life Support activities within the Air Engineering environment. This permanent position offers an extraordinary platform to perform detailed engineering analyses, influence design for maintainability, and ensure world-leading aircraft programs like the Typhoon, F-35, and Tempest remain safe, sustainable, and efficient in service.

Role Overview

Working across the product lifecycle from initial concept to disposal, you will perform detailed engineering evaluations such as FMECA, Reliability and Maintainability assessments, and obsolescence evaluations. You will collaborate closely with designers, maintainers, and suppliers to generate essential Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) deliverables and technical documentation.

Core Duties & Responsibilities

• Lifecycle Engineering: Create engineering outputs to support equipment and systems throughout their entire life, considering safety and environmental factors.

• Reliability Analysis: Interrogate and analyze design and supplier data to influence and qualify product design and support solutions.

• Maintainability Optimization: Utilize design and customer support data to identify maintenance optimizations and develop efficient maintenance policies, schedules, and procedures.

• Technical Documentation: Research engineering documentation and create, update, and publish design-approved technical information.

• Product Support: Assist customer personnel in understanding product operational and maintenance needs while providing effective support solutions.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

• Academic Background: Must have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, at least a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree (or a pass at Master's level) in Aerospace Engineering, Through-life Engineering Services Specialist, Systems Engineering, or a related STEM subject.

• Working Arrangement: On-site presence in Warton or Samlesbury 3 to 4 days per week under hybrid working guidelines.

• Security Clearance: All applicants must achieve, as a minimum, the Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). Note: Due to security and export control restrictions, candidates must meet national identity, birthplace, and residency criteria (typically requiring continuous UK residency of 5 to 10 years for higher-level national security vetting).
