Pay Rate: £15.98 per hour
Job Type: Permanent - Full-Time
Shift Pattern: Sunday to Thursday, 17:00 – 00:30
About the Role
As a supportive bridge staffing agency, we are proud to partner with Greencore (following their combination with Bakkavor) to find skilled technical and operational talent. Greencore is one of the UK’s leading convenience food creators, employing over 28,000 colleagues across 36 manufacturing sites and 21 distribution depots.
At their state-of-the-art Warrington facility, we are currently seeking a proactive and mechanically-minded Line Technician for the PM shift to ensure high-performance machinery, optimal productivity, and rigorous food safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Productivity & Efficiency: Deliver line productivity targets, resolve issues, and produce goods according to the agreed production plan while maintaining food safety standards.
Machinery & OEE: Monitor equipment effectiveness through Optimum Equipment Efficiency (OEE), tracking trends and asset reliability.
Maintenance & Support: Conduct first-line maintenance, basic Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), equipment strip-downs and rebuilds, and basic fault-finding. Assist engineers with breakdowns.
Safety & Training: Promote a strong health, safety, and environmental culture (including near-miss reporting) and provide hands-on training to operational staff.
What We Are Looking For
Full training will be provided, but we are looking for candidates with:
Core Skills: Good levels of English and math, computer literacy, and mechanical literacy.
Experience: Previous experience working within a similar technical, production, or manufacturing role.
Attributes: High attention to detail, a basic understanding of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene, the ability to work unsupervised, and a "right first-time" approach.
