Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is seeking a versatile Theatre Practitioner specializing in Anaesthetics and Scrub to join a leading private hospital in Leicester, UK. In this flexible bank role, you will deliver high-quality perioperative care across a broad range of surgical specialties including General, ENT, Gynaecology, Urology, Plastics, Dental, and Orthopaedics.
Working within modern laminar flow operating theatres alongside top consultant surgeons, you will support patient care during both the anaesthetic and surgical scrub phases of procedures. This position is ideal for an experienced Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner seeking flexible ad-hoc shifts within an advanced clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare operating suites, assist anaesthetists and surgeons directly during surgical cases, and maintain strict aseptic and safety standards.
Deliver evidence-based perioperative care across a varied surgical caseload, ensuring seamless handover and continuity of patient care.
Mentor, supervise, and support the ongoing practical development of junior clinical staff within the theatre unit.
Requirements
Active professional registration with the NMC (Registered General Nurse) or HCPC (Operating Department Practitioner).
Proven post-registration clinical experience in dual or single roles covering Anaesthetics and Scrub care.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-working skills with a flexible approach to shift schedules.
