At Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency, we excel at placing vision-driven leaders into frontline roles where they can break cycles and create lasting systemic change. We are incredibly proud to partner with Bradford Children and Families Trust to recruit a dedicated and highly compassionate Team Manager for their specialized Court Team.
This is an exceptionally vital and rewarding role. Research from Born into Care highlights a troubling national rise in newborns entering care proceedings, often at short notice. Strikingly, many of these parents were in care themselves as children—giving us a profound moral and ethical responsibility to support them as both corporate parents and "grandparents."
If you practice with a restorative, relational heart and want to lead a team that intervenes early, builds parental capacity, and fights to keep families together safely, this is your calling.
In this hands-on, frontline leadership role, you will manage a team of 6 Community Resource Workers who provide intensive, trauma-informed support to expectant parents or those with a baby under the age of one in pre-proceedings, specifically where domestic abuse is a core concern.
By delivering planned, highly personalized intervention packages, your team helps parents build strength, overcome trauma, and gain the personal and social assets required to become safer parents and adults.
Key Responsibilities:
Nurturing Team Leadership: Manage and inspire a team of 6 Community Resource Workers, providing high-quality, reflective child-focused and personal supervision.
Active Risk Management: Support and empower your workers to deliver intensive interventions safely while continuously evaluating and reducing risk.
Quality Assurance & Audits: Monitor team performance through regular audit activities, direct observations, and reflective group supervision to drive practice improvement.
Multi-Agency Partnership: Chair multi-agency meetings, coordinate tailored support packages, and make critical, evidence-informed decisions based on a deep understanding of safeguarding thresholds.
Practice Innovation: Lead localized practice development projects alongside colleagues, service users, and external stakeholders to continuously refine our support offer.
We are looking for a confident, proactive qualified Social Worker with a strong commitment to trauma-informed practice and corporate parenting principles.
Qualifications:
Dip.SW, CQSW, BA (Hons) Social Work, or equivalent professional qualification.
Active registration with Social Work England.
Experience:
A minimum of 4 years of post-qualifying social work experience.
Strong background in managing complex cases, court pre-proceedings, domestic abuse dynamics, and infant safeguarding.
Proven experience in a supervisory or management capacity within children's services.
Knowledge & Skills:
Deep understanding of statutory and legal frameworks surrounding safeguarding and care proceedings.
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills to engage families and multi-agency partners effectively.
A genuine passion for developing frontline staff and driving practice excellence.
Bradford Children and Families Trust is built on a culture of continuous learning and employee appreciation. Joining this dedicated team means accessing:
