Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with West Yorkshire Pension Fund (WYPF) and Bradford Council to recruit an experienced Senior Database Engineer.

This is a new and pivotal hands-on technical role leading the design, development, and maintenance of bespoke software applications for fire pension schemes. In this position, you will foster a learning culture, drive market-leading innovation, and optimize automation for online portals connecting members to our administration systems.

About the Role

As Senior Database Engineer, you will spearhead technical development, middleware creation, and system automation. Key responsibilities include:

• Software & System Leadership: Leading and managing the development of bespoke fire administration software and automation for online portals.

• Architecture & Middleware Design: Designing and developing in-house internal portals and building the middleware connecting member portals to core administration systems.

• Process Optimization: Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve fire pension systems and processes through automation and efficiency gains.

• Technical Excellence: Driving hands-on technical development with key expertise in Civica’s UPM application and back-end web development knowledge.

• Solid back-end web development knowledge and experience building system middleware and portals.
