In this vital casual role, you will act as a lifeline for adults who may be struggling due to age, illness, or vulnerability, helping them live more independently and stay connected to their community. No formal care experience is necessary—if you are kind, upbeat, and patient, you have what it takes to succeed!
Key Responsibilities
Personal & Practical Care: Provide essential personal, emotional, and practical support to adults in their own homes or community settings.
Daily Living Support: Assist service users with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, and medication management.
Health & Safety: Promote safety and wellbeing through welfare checks and risk assessments, liaising closely with health and social care professionals.
Relationship Building: Build meaningful, respectful connections that empower individuals to feel safe, supported, and valued.
What You Will Need
Personal Qualities: A caring, respectful approach with excellent communication skills and a passion for helping others.
Requirements: Full UK Driving Licence with access to a vehicle (business mileage reimbursed) and the Right to Work in the UK (sponsorship is unavailable for this role).
Professional Standards: Willingness to register with the Scottish Social Security Council (SSSC) within 3 months of starting and flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
