Location: Derham House Care Home, Harwood Hall Lane, Upminster, Essex, RM14 2YP
Pay Rate: £23.61 per hour
Hours: 36.00 hours per week (Permanent)
Shift Pattern: Mixed (Days/Nights)

About the Role
As a Unit Nurse Manager (General) working through our supportive bridge staffing agency, you will use your compassion, leadership, and clinical initiative to ensure residents receive the highest standard of care at Derham House.
You will have the freedom and autonomy to take your unit from strength to strength, with core responsibilities including:
Nursing Leadership: Planning, managing, and monitoring the delivery of high-quality nursing care that meets individual residents' needs.
Person-Centred Care: Implementing tailored care plans and detailed risk assessments that genuinely enhance day-to-day lives.
Team Management: Planning rotas, leading recruitment, training, and mentoring staff (including supporting newly qualified nurses through preceptorship).
Stakeholder Relations: Building strong, positive relationships with local regulators and social services.
About You
We are looking for a dedicated, ambitious, and resilient clinical leader with a proven track record of driving quality care improvements.
Qualifications & Registration: Registered Nurse (RGN) with a current, active NMC registration.
Clinical Knowledge: Up-to-date knowledge of recent clinical practices, care planning, risk assessments, and regulatory frameworks (including DoLS/MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines).
Leadership Experience: A natural mentor who has experience guiding clinical teams and supporting staff development.
