Rate of Pay: £13.54 - £15.08 per hour (depending on experience) + £1,000 Welcome Bonus*

We are partnering with the highly rated Ridley Park Care Home in Blyth—proudly holding a Good CQC rating and a 9.6/10 score on carehome.co.uk—to find a passionate and creative Assistant Chef on a permanent, 30-hour contract. As an Assistant Chef through Supportive Bridge, you will be part of a fantastic kitchen team that serves as the magic behind each delicious dish, using fresh ingredients to create varied, nutritional menus and unforgettable dining experiences that make residents feel right at home.
Key Responsibilities
Use your passion for cooking and fresh ingredients to create varied, nutritional menus tailored to the dietary needs and preferences of residents.
Put forward innovative ideas to deliver an exceptional dining experience and help residents feel at home.
Train and manage the kitchen team in the preparation, cooking, and serving of food.
Adhere strictly to COSHH and HACCP guidelines, company policies, procedures, budgets, stock management, and deliveries.
Cater for special events and seasonal activities, such as summer fetes, Christmas parties, and birthdays.
What We Are Looking For
A genuine passion for cooking with previous experience working in a fresh food kitchen and relevant hygiene certificates.
An innovative, open-minded approach to cooking combined with a commitment to maintaining exceptionally high standards.
Excellent communication skills and a desire to cherish the little moments with residents by sharing your love of food.
