Salary/Rates: Retainer rates from £45.84 to £60.36 per 12-hour shift (day and night shift dependent), plus an attendance payment of £16.01 per hour for a minimum of 3 hours per case.
Contract Type: Permanent / Bank (0 Hours, flexible working)
Working Pattern: Part-time, 12-hour shift pattern with retainer and call-out (8:00 AM – 8:00 PM & 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM, 24/7 rota coverage across 365/6 days per year)

We are acting on behalf of Mountain Healthcare Ltd—a premier partner of NHS England and the police and a market leader in clinical forensic healthcare—to recruit a compassionate and dedicated Adult & Paediatric Crisis Worker for Juniper Lodge SARC in Leicestershire.
In this vital, patient-focused bank role, you will be the primary point of contact and advocate for victims of sexual assault attending the centre. Guided by company values of "Be Kind" and "Do the Right Thing," you will empower service users to feel in control, provide trauma-informed support throughout forensic medical pathways, and assist with care coordination alongside multidisciplinary partners.

1. Patient Advocacy & Care Coordination
Act as the primary point of contact and dedicated advocate for service users attending the SARC, ensuring they feel supported, informed, and empowered.
Support service users and their families throughout their visit, preparing patients and assisting clinicians in the collection of forensic evidence.
Liaise with police, health agencies, and support networks regarding the management and progression of the service user's clinical and social pathway.
2. Centre Operations & Safety Standards
Maintain rigorous standards of DNA anti-contamination between forensic cases, including thorough environmental cleaning.
Maintain accurate records using basic administration and IT skills, ensuring absolute confidentiality at all times.
Essential Criteria
Qualifications: GCSE English and Maths (equivalent to Grade C / Level 4 or above).
Experience & Skills: Prior experience working in a supportive, customer-focused, or public-facing environment, with good interpersonal abilities, organizational skills, and basic IT proficiency.
Knowledge: Understanding of the health, police, and/or public sector, and a strong awareness of data confidentiality.

Requirements: Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle (due to potential inter-site travel requirements), alongside the ability to successfully pass an enhanced DBS check and Level 2 police vetting.
Desirable Criteria
Educated to A-Level or NVQ Level 3 standard.
Previous experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults, and an understanding of safeguarding frameworks.
