In this role, you’ll be a familiar and welcoming face in a fast-moving store, delivering essential services and making life a little easier for local customers every day. Whether you're working on the shop floor, serving on tills, operating our in-store bakery, or helping keep shelves fully stocked, you will play a vital part in keeping the store running smoothly.
Working Pattern: Varied shifts including early mornings (store opening), afternoons, late evenings (store closing), and at least 1 weekend shift (to be discussed further at interview).
Age Requirement: Must be aged 18 or over due to shift timings (working before 6:00 AM or after 10:00 PM).
Deliver Exceptional Service: Provide friendly and thoughtful customer service, helping to put things right when needed.
Shop Floor & Bakery Operations: Work hands-on on the tills, shop floor, and in-store bakery to create a great shopping experience.
Stock & Standards: Keep shelves well-stocked, check prices, dates, and temperatures, and maintain a safe, legal, and tidy store environment.
Community Engagement: Promote Co-op Membership and help the store stay connected with local and national charities.
Passion: A genuine passion for helping people and delivering fantastic customer service.
Flexibility: The ability to work flexibly across a variety of shift patterns as part of a team.
Interest in Retail: An enthusiasm for working in a busy store environment (retail experience is not essential—full, paid training is provided!).
