Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our fantastic kitchen team on a flexible bank contract. In this role, you will be the vital link between the main kitchen and our residents, helping prepare, plate, and serve delicious meals that make every dining experience feel like home.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the essential link between the main kitchen and our residents during mealtimes.

• Assist chefs with plating meals, preparing food trolleys, and ensuring all preparation and dining areas are kept clean, tidy, and hygienic.

• Monitor stock rotation and strictly comply with company policies, COSHH, and HACCP guidelines.

• Assist with catering and food preparation for special events, seasonal celebrations, summer BBQs, and parties.

• Communicate effectively with the wider kitchen and care home teams while bringing warmth and cheer to residents.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

• A genuine passion for food and delivering excellent customer service.

• Previous experience working within a kitchen environment.

• Holding a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is essential.

• Excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a warm, approachable personality.
