Rate / Salary: From £44,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Saturday, various shift patterns available)

About the Role

We are partnering with the prestigious King Edward VII's Hospital in Marylebone, London, to find an experienced and dedicated Theatre Practitioner - Orthopaedics on a permanent, full-time contract. King Edward VII's Hospital is a premier 56-bed private hospital featuring four state-of-the-art operating theatres, delivering world-class, consultant-led care across elective, day-case, and inpatient surgeries with a strong focus on orthopaedics, minimally invasive techniques, and rapid recovery.

As a Theatre Practitioner through Supportive Bridge, you will provide skilled clinical and technical assistance as a vital member of the operating theatre team, helping to maintain high standards of patient care, safety, and infection control.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled clinical and technical assistance across anaesthetics and surgery, helping to prepare and position patients as directed by the surgical team.

• Support clinical areas by taking charge in the absence of an advanced practitioner, ensuring the safety of patients, visitors, and staff.

• Help control cross-infection by strictly observing departmental policies regarding asepsis, decontamination, sterilisation, and a clean working environment.

• Ensure all equipment is meticulously checked prior to use, handle and custody drugs safely in line with hospital policy, and correctly label and dispatch specimens.

• Participate fully as a collaborative team member across all areas of the theatre suite, supporting colleagues, mentoring new staff, and contributing to personal development plans.

What We Are Looking For

• Registered Nurse (RN - 1st Level Registration for Adult and/or Children), Diploma or Degree in Health Care Studies, ODP Level 3 NVQ, or ODA 752 qualification.

• A minimum of 2 years of hospital scrub experience is essential.

• A professional, calm, and organised approach with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional surgical care.
