As a supportive bridge staffing agency, we are proud to partner with Tesco to help candidates connect with fantastic driving and retail careers. Tesco is currently seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Customer Delivery Driver to join the permanent team at their Prescot Extra store.

As the face of Tesco on the road, you will meet customers in their homes every day. This role is about much more than driving—it is a hands-on, physical position full of variety where you will help people and deliver great service with a smile.

Availability & Working Hours

• Contracted Hours: 22 hours per week (guaranteed minimum hours policy applies, with options to discuss flexibility down to 12 hours if preferred).

• Required Availability Window:

  • Sunday: 18:00 – 22:00

  • Tuesday: 09:00 – 19:00

  • Thursday: 18:00 – 22:00

  • Friday: 09:00 – 14:00

  • Saturday: 09:00 – 19:00

• Note: You will receive at least 3 weeks' notice of your exact shift schedules. Applicants must be over 18 years of age and hold the required driving licence qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Vehicle & Order Preparation: Keep your van, trays, and work area clean, tidy, and organised. Complete all safety checks to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy and reliable.

• Customer Doorstep Service: Deliver within customer time slots, providing warm, natural service at the doorstep and handling any order changes or substitutions in a friendly, reassuring way.

• Product Care: Handle products with care, treating every order as if it were your own to maintain high quality and customer trust.

• Independent & Team Work: Work independently out on the road while building strong relationships with managers and colleagues back at base.

What You Will Need

• Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic) for at least 12 months, with no more than 3 penalty points.

• Must be over 18 years old to apply.

• A warm, welcoming personality with a passion for delivering great service.

• The ability to respond quickly to changing needs and embrace change both on the road and in-store.
