Working as a permanent Head of Housekeeping through our supportive bridge staffing agency on behalf of Barchester Healthcare, you will lead a dedicated team of housekeeping staff while taking a hands-on approach to the day-to-day cleaning of the home. Leading by example, you will ensure every room and living space is maintained to the highest possible standard, motivating and inspiring your team to ensure the care home shines as a high-quality environment for residents, visitors, and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities (What You'll Do)
Lead, motivate, and inspire the housekeeping team to perform at their absolute best.
Take a hands-on approach, actively participating in day-to-day cleaning and housekeeping tasks.
Ensure every room, communal area, and living space is maintained to impeccable standards.
Uphold strict health, safety, and cleanliness protocols consistently across the team.
Build positive, professional relationships with residents, relatives, and colleagues.
Candidate Requirements (What You'll Need)
Previous housekeeping experience within a care home, hospital, or hotel environment.
Proven ability to lead, guide, and inspire a team.
Excellent attention to detail and strong practical cleaning skills.
A caring nature, warm-hearted approach, and great communication skills.
